When I looked at my pictures this weekend, I noticed all the pictures that I had of the Iolani Family Fair that took place a couple of weeks ago. There was non-stop physics taking place the entire time at the fair. One thing in particular stood out. One of the rides that we have is "The Whirly Bird" in which 4 riders rotate around a center axis. I remember when I used to ride it, it would feel like I was getting pushed to one side and now I know that that is because of centripital and centrifugal forces. If the seats were to dissapear I would be flung outward and a line tangent to the circle the ride is making.
